Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, welding and carbon steel tank fitting, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role is essential in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The Welder/Fitter will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and schematics, as well as utilizing power tools and hand tools to fabricate and assemble components.
Duties
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to build components accurately.
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Utilize plasma cutting equipment for precise cuts on metal materials.
- Assemble ductwork and other structural components according to specifications.
- Employ power tools and hand tools effectively to complete fabrication tasks.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Skills
- Proficient in welding techniques and processes, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Experience with power tools such as grinders, saws, and drills.
- Familiarity with machining processes is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks.
- Knowledge of ductwork assembly techniques is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to rig materials safely for lifting or moving during the fabrication process.
