Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing both driving skills and equipment operation expertise.
JOB DESCRIPTION
· Schedule Shift time: 8:45 or 9:00 AM – until deliveries are completed Monday -Wednesday, and Friday/ Saturday, Thursday and Sunday off/ Open to work on statutory holidays and weekends
· Report to: (Fleet Manager)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Reading and picking from the order sheet when delivering to customers
· Delivering orders on time according to the scheduled route
· Making sure the client signs the delivery invoice and pick up payments
· Transporting clients’ orders from our warehouse in Mississauga to clients around the GTA
· Reviewing orders to ensure they are accurate
· Accurately loading and unloading delivery orders
· Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle
· Working with Sales and Warehouse staff to ensure smooth customer service
· Keeping track of mileage log
· Report any problems (i.e., damages to the vehicle, shortage with an order etc.) to the supervisor
· Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
REQUIREMENTS
· Clean driving Record with a valid License G and plus
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to lift 50lbs
· Positive attitude and Good customer service skills
· Pump Truck License
· Comfortable driving long distances
· Ability to communicate in English
· Familiarity with routes in and around the GTA
· Understanding of food products is an asset
