Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain high levels of food safety and sanitation.
- Support food industry best practices in menu execution, portion control, and presentation.
- Lead by example in food preparation and serving, fostering a positive team environment.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
- Train new team members on food safety, service standards, and kitchen techniques.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing kitchen teams.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant management principles and food safety regulations.
- Prior restaurant experience with a focus on high-quality service delivery.
