Our products are manufactured and distributed throughout Canada, the USA, Europe, Malaysia and China and sold throughout over 6,000 North American major retail outlets. We work closely with our customers in building strong relationships as well as developing successful private label programs and marketing strategies.
We currently have the following position available:
Duties & Responsibilities:
(a) Work with several tool room equipment/machines (Saws, Lathes, Mills, Surface Grinders, Drill Presses, EDM machine and Hand Tools).
(b) Perform mold inspections and complete preventative mold maintenance and repairs.
(c) Provide support to production for any emergency mold repairs during on-going production runs.
(d) Perform mold insert changes both in tool room and in machine presses.
(e) Maintain, troubleshoot and repair hot manifold systems and mold electrical issues.
(f) Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mold hydraulic issues.
(g) Manufacture and/or repair of tool steel die components as needed.
(h) Identify and determine components/tools required during scheduled mold PMs and production repairs for management of parts/tools inventory.
(i) Maintain good housekeeping and organization of tool room and work spaces.
(a) Communicate with administrative, plant and supervisory staff as required.
(b) Perform compulsory overtime as necessary and in accordance with legislative requirements.
(c) Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
(d) Comply with company Rules of Personal Conduct.
(e) Provide and/or participate in training, as required.
(f) Comply with company rules, regulations and policies.
Occupational Health & Safety:
(a) Report all incidents, accident and/or hazards.
(b) Participate and/or cooperate with the JHSC to improve safety.
(c) Wear personal protective equipment as required.
(d) Adhere to Lockout procedures.
(e) Perform housekeeping activities as required.
(f) Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) particularly the “Duties of Supervisors” as stated in Section 28.
(g) Comply with the Workplace Safety Insurance Act (WSI Act).
(h) Comply with the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
