Overview
We are seeking someone with strong inter-personal skills to join our team as a Donor Relations Co-ordinator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping to plan major events, communication with donors, and spearheading fund development initiatives. Other administrative tasks such as donor entry may be included. The position is part-time and includes benefits after the 90-day probation period. Wage is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Must be friendly, flexible, enthusiastic, and passionate about the Christian ministry of Streets Alive Mission.
· Ability to plan, organize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Must be able to communicate clearly and courteously, verbally and in writing with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Have excellent people skills, open to direction and a collaborative work style, with a commitment to get the job done.
· Be detail oriented and able to work with little supervision.
· Must enjoy meeting new people and building relationships.
· Must be competent in computer applications such as Microsoft Office. Experience with the Donor Perfect Database is an asset as well.
· Non-profit and/or fundraising experience is also an asset.
Duties, Responsibilities & Expectations:
· Working with the fund development team to assist with donor stewardship by preparing thank-you letters, acknowledgements, mailers and appeals sent to donors, supporters and the public.
· Working with the fund development team to assist with fund raising initiatives of the organization by taking a role in the development and co-ordination of portions of special events, annual appeals and special campaigns.
· Assist with booking speaking engagements for the Chief Development Officer with area churches and community groups.
· Assist with church-specific communications, regular bulletins/e-mail blasts, critical needs slides for church announcements, etc.
· Assist the fund development team as well as the CEO and administration with the preparation of month-end reporting.
· To take on any other work or projects as assigned by the Chief Development Officer as needed.
· To show a sincere interest in the people we serve and the importance of the message we send out in the community.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
