Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. Duties
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items, ensuring freshness and quality
- Cook dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards, maintaining consistency and presentation
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Follow proper food storage procedures to prevent contamination and spoilage
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Help with meal preparation for special events or catering as needed
- Adhere to sanitation standards and safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures and hygiene practices
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed
- Passion for serving quality food and providing excellent customer service
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are a plus
