What you will do.
The Production Line Operator will safely operate and maintain the packaging machine to ensure production orders are completed on time and quality standards are maximized.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, operate, and monitor packaging machine.
- Complete activity logs, records of maintenance and repair and other documentation as well as all mandatory training.
- Ensure safety guards are in place and keep all safety guards in place on machines while in operation.
- Respond to any issues with the machine (i.e. lights, alarms, visual indicators).
- Prepare equipment and ensure the machines are properly shut down after production.
- Follow company’s health and safety program, rules, and procedures and work in compliance with health and safety-related legislation and codes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Machine Operator experience within manufacturing, food manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Knowledge of production, quality control, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Must be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs.
