Job Summary:

What You'll Do

Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Analyze gross margin performance and identify trends, variances, and opportunities across products, divisions, and regions.

Calculate, track, and reconcile sales commissions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with compensation plans.

Perform divisional reconciliations and financial analysis to maintain the integrity of financial reporting.

Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend solutions to improve financial accuracy and processes.

Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis for senior leadership to support strategic business decisions.

Ensure compliance with ASPE (Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises) and internal accounting policies.

Partner with teams across the organization to support business initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a financial analyst, accounting, or similar role.

Strong knowledge of ASPE and its practical application in financial reporting.

Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP, Office 360, etc.).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

High attention to detail and accuracy.
Assets (Nice to Have):

CPA designated or actively enrolled in the CPA program considered an asset.

Experience with commission plans and incentive compensation tools.

Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
