We are a growing, family-run custom drapery and furniture manufacturing company looking for an experienced, sales-driven Project Manager to close sales (50%), oversee quoting (20%), material procurement (10%), scheduling (10%), and project coordination (10%). This is a hands-on, operational role for someone who thrives in a start-up, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
You will manage projects from initial quote to final installation, acting as the central point of contact between clients, factory teams, installers, and suppliers. Your operational instincts and ability to keep multiple moving parts organized will be essential in helping us deliver exceptional products on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to close sales.
- Provide on-site (15%) and showroom consultations (85%).
- Prepare accurate quotes for custom drapery, blinds, and upholstery projects.
- Coordinate site measures, installations, and service calls with clients and installers.
- Order materials, hardware, and supplies to meet project requirements and timelines.
- Work closely with factory teams to track production schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
- Create job-specific work orders and documentation for shop and installation crews.
- Act as the operational lead on projects, troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth handoffs between quoting, production, and installation.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and trade partners.
- Identify process improvements and help implement new systems as we scale.
Requirements
- Valid Canadian work permit.
- Native proficiency in English / completely fluent (written and verbal).
- Driver's license and car.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Good at basic mathematics.
- Tenacity and willingness to learn and adapt.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and project specifications.
- Comfort working both in-office (85%) and on job sites (15%) as needed.
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
