JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an exceptionally detail-oriented Finance Administrator with small business experience to join our dynamic team. With support from the Finance Director, you will manage the financial operations of the organization while maintaining accurate records within a healthcare setting. This role requires meticulous accuracy, strong organizational and time management proficiency, effective communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative setting. This would be a permanent contract position; rate of pay is negotiable subject to experience. Expected availability is 1 to 2 days per week depending on training requirements. Hours can be flexible.
DUTIES:
- Manage and process Accounts Payable/Receivable transactions utilizing Quickbooks Pro Desktop
- Reconcile bank statements
- Prepare GST filings and observe CRA deadlines
- Prepare financial reports
- Assist with preparation of annual budget reports
- Promptly identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive experience working with Quickbooks Pro Desktop Version
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in record keeping and reporting
- Time management ability to prioritize tasks effectively, complete tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and financial regulations in accordance with the organization’s operations
- Experienced in all MS (Microsoft) applications
- A diploma in finance and or accounting is preferred
- Self employed contractor is required (Incorporated or Sole Proprietorship)
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
