Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and hardworking Cook to join our shawarma restaurant team. The primary responsibilities of this role include cooking and carving donair and chicken, maintaining food quality standards, assisting with food preparation, and supporting daily kitchen operations. This position will also occasionally assist with wrapping sandwiches and serving customers during busy periods.
The ideal candidate has strong cooking skills, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, communicates well with both customers and team members, and takes pride in producing high-quality food consistently. This position will begin as part-time with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Cook, monitor, and carve donair and chicken throughout service.
- Ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation standards are maintained.
- Prepare ingredients and complete daily food prep tasks.
- Assist with assembling and wrapping shawarma sandwiches when required.
- Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to management.
- Keep cooking stations clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Assist with kitchen cleaning and closing duties as needed.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Provide friendly and professional communication with customers and coworkers.

- Previous restaurant, grill, shawarma, or kitchen experience is a strong asset.
Hours
- Position will start as part-time.
- Opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
