Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Representatives to join our growing team. This role can vary depending on experience, knowledge and estimating skills. We are looking for people who fit in with our company culture and are excited about working for a growing roofing company.
This is an uncapped commission position with guaranteed monthly draws to provide income stability.
Duties
- Generate new residential and commercial roofing leads through networking, referrals, door knocking, cold calling, and follow-up with past customers.
- Meet with homeowners, property managers, building owners, and contractors to discuss roofing needs.
- Inspect roofs and identify issues such as leaks, damaged shingles, membrane failures, poor drainage, flashing problems, and general roof deterioration.
- Measure roofs or arrange professional roof measurement reports when required.
- Prepare accurate roofing estimates and proposals based on scope of work, materials, labour, equipment, and project requirements.
- Present roofing options to customers, including repair, replacement, maintenance, and upgrade recommendations.
- Explain roofing systems, materials, warranties, timelines, and project process clearly to customers.
- Follow up on submitted quotes and maintain regular communication with prospects and customers.
- Negotiate pricing, scope, and contract terms while maintaining company profit margins.
- Close sales and ensure all required documents, approvals, deposits, and signed contracts are completed.
- Enter and update customer information, job details, notes, photos, estimates, and communication records in the company CRM.
- Coordinate with production, estimating, operations, and office staff to ensure smooth project handoff.
- Attend site visits before, during, or after projects when needed.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers before, during, and after the sale.
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and objections in a professional manner.
- Identify upsell opportunities such as gutters, metal flashing, insulation, siding, roof maintenance plans, and additional repairs.
- Stay informed on roofing products, installation methods, building codes, safety requirements, and industry pricing.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, including appearance, communication, punctuality, and conduct.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Track sales activity, leads, quotes, close rates, and projected revenue.
- Assist with marketing initiatives, referral programs, trade shows, networking events, and customer review requests.
- Work with management to improve sales processes, quote templates, customer follow-up systems, and lead conversion.
- Maintain a valid driver’s licence and have reliable transportation for site visits and customer meetings.
Potential Duties (if applicable/ have current experience)
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labour, equipment, and overhead
- Hail damage inspections and writing insurance/ Xactimate estimates (if required)
Skills
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Proper time management
- Understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies in roofing projects
- Computer skills required to maintain files in company database/ utilize other software and apps for estimating and inspections
- Xactimate and insurance claim experience considered an asset
- HAAG certification considered an asset
- Previous retail estimating experience considered an asset
- Commercial roofing experience considered an asset
Pay: $60,000.00-$250,000.00 per year
