About Blue Falls Manufacturing
Blue Falls Manufacturing (BFM) is part of the Arctic Spa Group of Companies, a family of premium hot tub and cold therapy brands including Arctic Spas, Cold Tub, ClearWater Spas, and Four Winds. We operate across Canada and the United States, with manufacturing facilities, corporate offices, and a national dealer network based in Alberta. Our IT organization supports all of these entities from a single consolidated team.
Role Overview
This is a full-time permanent position embedded in the BFM IT team, supporting seven BFM and Arctic Spas locations across the Edmonton area. Roughly 80% of the work is end-user support and administration across our managed platforms; the remaining 20% is structured infrastructure documentation work at our facilities. The role requires regular travel between sites — a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are required, with mileage reimbursed per BFM policy.
This is not a passive support role — the successful candidate will be given assignments and expected to self-direct their execution, manage their own priorities, produce clean documentation, and ask the right questions when they need direction.
Key Responsibilities
End-User & Systems Administration
- Provide day-to-day end-user support across macOS, iOS, and Windows 11 environments across seven Edmonton-area BFM locations
- Deploy and configure applications using Mosyle (macOS/iOS) and Microsoft Intune (Windows)
- Administer user accounts, groups, and profiles in Microsoft Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory
- Reconcile user data across Entra ID and Paycom to ensure accurate titles, email addresses, and attributes for downstream SCIM provisioning
- Manage user lifecycle changes (onboarding, offboarding, role changes) across M365, RingCentral, and Senitron
- Support and administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint
- Assist with RingCentral user and extension administration
Infrastructure Documentation
- Conduct physical walkthroughs of network closets and server rooms at Edmonton-area BFM facilities
- Document physical port maps — matching physical switch ports to connected devices across the Ubiquiti UniFi switching infrastructure
- Label and record every device connected to each switch port, producing clean, accurate documentation suitable for ongoing network operations
- Identify and flag discrepancies, unlabeled equipment, or undocumented connections
What We're Looking For
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Diploma or degree in progress or recently completed in IT, Computer Systems Technology, Networking, or a related field
- Foundational understanding of Windows and macOS desktop environments
- Basic familiarity with Active Directory or Entra ID user administration
- Exposure to networking concepts — VLANs, switches, patch panels, and port mapping is an asset
- Familiarity with M365 administration tools is an asset
Attributes & Work Style
- Self-directed — you can take a task, break it down, prioritize the steps, and execute without needing constant check-ins
- Detail-oriented — you notice when things are wrong, label things correctly the first time, and don't cut corners on accuracy
- Documentation mindset — you can build your own templates, research how to present information clearly, and produce materials that others can use
- Good listener — you ask questions when you need to, take direction well, and retain what you're taught
- Personable — you're comfortable working directly with employees and representing the IT team across multiple sites
Licensing & Travel
- Valid Alberta driver's licence required
- Access to a reliable personal vehicle required
- Mileage between BFM locations is reimbursed per BFM travel policy
- Comfort with regular inter-site travel across the Edmonton area as part of normal weekly work
What to Expect
You will work directly with the Director of IT and the broader IT team, with your time split across seven BFM and Arctic Spas locations in the Edmonton area. You will be given real work that has a real impact on the organization's infrastructure and operational data quality. This role offers a strong foundation for growth into a broader systems administration or infrastructure role as the IT function scales.
