We are a four-room boutique hotel-style bed-and-breakfast operating at a meticulously restored historic inn dating back to 1817. We are dedicated to providing an exceptional guest experience through outstanding comfort, thoughtful details, personalized service, and beautiful surroundings.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Innkeeper to help create a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience for our guests. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented host who takes pride in providing exceptional service, enjoys creating beautiful and inviting spaces, and has a genuine passion for hospitality. Creative flair and an appreciation for aesthetics are highly valued.
Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Welcome guests and assist with check-ins and check-outs.
- Create a warm, friendly, and personalized atmosphere for every guest.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions and concerns.
Property Operations
- Supervise cleaning staff and assist with light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Ensure guest rooms and common areas are clean and well-presented.
- Monitor inventory of operational supplies to keep the inn fully stocked and guest-ready.
- Assist in maintaining the beauty, character, and welcoming atmosphere of the property.
Food & Beverage
- Prepare, present, and serve a continental-style breakfast for 2–8 guests.
- No cooking is required; detailed menus and instructions will be provided.
- Use attention to detail and presentation to create a unique and enjoyable breakfast experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or B&B operations is not required.
- Creative flair & an eye for presentation are assets (room setup and breakfast settings)
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
Hours & Additional Opportunities
Hours offered will depend on occupancy and bookings. Currently, 25-35 hrs a week.
- Breakfast preparation and service typically require approximately 3–6 hours per shift.
- Room preparation and guest check-in duties typically require approximately 2-4 hours per shift.
- A detailed schedule will be provided and updated regularly.
Housekeeping positions are also available for candidates seeking additional hours.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
