We are looking for a sous chef/junior sous for a full time position in a fast-paced corporate catering kitchen.
We are open Monday-Friday, and start very early. We are closed most holidays. We occasionally have weekend and evening events that we will need help with as well.
We make everything from scratch so it is not just operating a microwave. All our staff are cross-trained and work in every station of the business-the words "not my job" are a swear here. Be prepared to switch hats at any given time-one minute making soups, the next slicing beef, making sandwiches, fruit cups, frying onions.
We ask a minimum of 5 yrs professional cooking and a desire to learn. You have to be able to show up on time and be motivated once you're here. Be neat in appearance, organized, able to work independently but also within the team. Time management is a must. You must be able to speak and read fluent English.
