POSITION: Production Assistant, Contract (3 month contract with the opportunity to transition into a full-time/permanent position)
We’re looking for someone to assist our Talent and Creative Director in all things hands-on at Team TSG. Do you enjoy getting your hands messy on an exciting DIY project? Are you super organized and interested in design? Do you love thrifting, second-hand sourcing and upcycling? This may be the role for you!

The Sorry Girls is a digital media company with over 2.3M subscribers on YouTube and another million across other social platforms. With a focus on interior design, thrifting, upcycling and DIY, we help people make beautiful spaces through choices they can feel good about.

ABOUT THE ROLE
- 3-month employment contract (with opportunity to transition into a full-time/permanent position)
- Monday to Friday, approximately 9 AM to 5 PM
- Starting in September/October
- Salary of $55,000 annualized, with 4% vacation paid throughout
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL…
- Operate a variety of power tools, including drills/drivers, nail guns, circular saws, table saws, etc.
- Assist with video production prep, including researching, sourcing, purchasing, organizing, and transporting materials and supplies
- Stay organized and ensure the team has the materials and equipment needed for upcoming shoots
- Look ahead at future projects and help develop action plans, plus shopping/material lists
- Accompany talent for video shoots and jump in wherever needed to help keep productions moving efficiently
- Work from home, drive around sourcing, or report to GTA locations for “set” (about 30/30/30 split)
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 18+ with a high school diploma
- Has access to a car and a valid driver's license
- Lives in, or can commute to the GTA daily
- Has access to a laptop
- Is comfortable with a wide range of power tools (drill/driver, nail gun, circular saw, table saw, etc…) Not required to be 100% proficient but some comfortability with learning and using tools is ideal
- Has an interest in design and DIY
- Is very organized and a self-starter
- Is comfortable working both independently and with a team
- Is positive and enthusiastic
- Enjoys bringing new ideas to the table
- Design skills are a bonus!
