Job Summary
We are an established and progressive periodontal practice with offices in Mississauga and Milton. We are expanding our practice and are looking for a Dental Assistant who is friendly, enthusiastic, willing to learn and works well in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to work and learn from a highly experienced team of dental professionals.
Our office is open Monday-Thursday.
No evenings and no weekends.
We are filling a temporary leave of absence but the position may become permanent.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist chair-side during all periodontal exams and procedures
- Clinical chair-side assisting duties include knowledge of instrumentation, taking digital x-rays and charting periodontal measurements
- Maintain treatment room and instruments in accordance with sterilization standards and practice protocols
- Discuss treatment plans with patients and create a welcoming experience for them
Qualifications:
- Harp certification is a requirement
- Minimum 2 years experience as a dental assistant
- Knowledge in using Dentrix is an asset
- Experience in periodontics and implant dentistry is an asset
- Fluency in the English language
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Collaberative team player
- Excellent time management skills and organizational abilities
- Well developed key boarding skills
Experience:
- Dental assisting: 2 years (required)
