We are looking for the ideal candidate to join our team for two days a week. The shifts would be from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Wednesday and Thursday however we do have some flexibility.
Duties include:
· Maintenance of recreational building including pool, hot tub, small exercise room and change rooms: Janitorial cleaning, tending to pool and hot tub chemicals, including boiler room and self-chlorination system. (3 hours per day)
· Minor repairs to cottages including but not limited to installing taps, shower heads, caulking, clogged sinks and toilets, paint touch ups, changing out smoke alarms, light bulbs, fans, switches, minor repairs to locks, windows, doors, including shower doors and re-aligning closet doors, troubleshoot issues with appliances before determining whether or not need for appliance repair person, change out appliances
· Cleaning barbeques and deck furniture
· Collect and dispose of garbage and recycling
· Snow removal when required
Requirements:
· Ability to perform small repairs
· Self motivated and able to work independently, following up on work orders without supervision
· Strong customer service skills
· Be physically fit and able to lift at least 50 lbs
· A valid BC Driver's License
· Clean driver’s abstract
A willingness to learn about pool operations and the willingness to take the Pool Operators course which is paid for by Oceanside Village Resort.
Recent work references required.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
