Our team is looking for a full-time Intermediate Mechanical Engineer who is driven to deliver their best work every day and are committed to working collaboratively to achieve shared goals. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Good technical understanding of the Mechanical Engineering field within the midstream industry
- Designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials
- Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products
- Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties
- Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; and soliciting observations from operators
- Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge; maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- Registered with APEGA as a P.Eng (Other jurisdictions are an asset)
- Must have 5+ years working as an Engineer specifically within the mechanical engineering discipline
- Demonstrated progressive experience and responsibility is an asset
- Some project engineering experience is considered an asset
- Previous experience with different disciplines, such the Process Basis Design, Site Layout, P&ID’s, SLD, Area Class and other engineering deliverables is considered an asset
- Previous experience with sulfur handling is considered an asset
- Good knowledge computer systems – Word and Excel knowledge is a must, quick thinking and troubleshooting issues is an asset
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team (office is very team based, so collaboration is key)
