Position Overview, Roles & Responsibilities
We are hiring for the position of INSTRUCTOR, Math and CAEC prep. This is a 40 week contract position (renewable annually) offering 30.0 hours per week (24 instructional hours + 6 prep hours), Monday to Thursday.
Responsibilities include:
● Prepare lesson plans in accordance with course syllabi for all five CAEC exam subjects: Reading
comprehension, Writing, Social Studies, Science and Mathematics. (materials provided by DLN)
● Instruct and evaluate students in subject areas.
● Track student attendance, and progress
● Provide coaching and academic guidance to students as needed
● Introduce and effectively use technology in class
SKILLS:
● Teaching experience/certification, including adult education
● Literacy Practitioner certification an asset
● Knowledge of CAEC program
● Excellent math skills and basic computer literacy
● Patience and understanding in working with adult learners
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 10 months
Pay: $31.52 per hour
