Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are properly cleaned and organized. This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of our restaurant or hotel environment, contributing to a positive dining experience for guests. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure proper storage of clean items
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and ingredients
- Support the kitchen staff by providing clean dishes and utensils promptly during service hours
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a hygienic work environment
- Help with general cleaning duties around the kitchen and dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Manage waste disposal efficiently and responsibly
Requirements
- Prior experience in cleaning, food handling, or restaurant settings is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is highly valued
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if required
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations, food service, or hospitality industry practices is advantageous
