McMan is hiring a Case Manager for our Drug Treatment Court Program based in Medicine Hat.

About the position:
The role of the case manager is to assist participants in reducing drug abuse with a goal of abstinence, as well as to support participants in changing criminal and addictive thinking patterns, addressing the issues behind their addiction and criminality, and restoring justice by reducing criminal recidivism and victimization in the community, by allowing participants to become productive, contributing members of society. This is accomplished through establishing a treatment plan in collaboration with the probation officer, following the five-phase model, frequent court appearances, deliverance of sanctions and rewards as it relates to participant behaviour, and working in close partnership with multi-disciplinary team members, which includes judges, crown prosecutors, police, and duty counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor all file documentation as per program and McMan Policy.
- Accurately observe and record drug analysis testing results daily.
- Deliver services following Drug Treatment Court best practices and standards to ensure fidelity to the program.
- Maintain positive working relationships with the multidisciplinary team members (judges, crowns, police, etc.)

Requirements & Qualifications:
- Human Services Degree or Diploma, Criminal Justice, or related field; a combination of work experience and certificates shall be considered.
- Understanding of addiction, mental health, and criminal justice system
- Case management experience preferred.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule. Typical schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm, with flexibility to accommodate the program.
- Ability to make tough decisions and convey the same to participants.
- Demonstrate professionalism within all aspects of employment, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a team.
- Microsoft Office abilities (SharePoint, One Drive, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Current Standard First Aid CPR Level C Certificate or CSA Standard Z1210-17 Intermediate First Aid Certificate
- Clear Police Information Check with vulnerable sector, dated within past 90 days.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, 3-year non-commercial Driver’s Abstract, and use of reliable vehicle with $2M Third Party Liability insurance.
