As a growing heavy construction equipment dealership and rental company, RTI supports customers across Ontario with equipment sales, rentals, service, parts and attachments. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works safely, and understands the importance of getting the job done right.
Position: Welder / Fabricator
Wage: $28.00–$34.00 per hour, based on experience
Hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Friday: 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Additional hours may be required based on the needs of the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welding and fabrication related to heavy construction equipment, buckets, attachments and components
- Repairing and rebuilding buckets and heavy equipment attachments
- Performing structural repairs and modifications
- Cutting, fitting, grinding and preparing materials for welding
- Reading and working from measurements, drawings and specifications
- Fabricating components and making modifications as required
- Inspecting completed work to ensure strength, accuracy and quality
- Working closely with our Service and Rental teams to keep equipment ready for our customers
- Maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of welding experience – required
- Previous fabrication experience
- Experience with heavy equipment, construction equipment or heavy steel fabrication is a strong asset
- Strong MIG welding skills; additional welding experience is an asset
- Ability to measure, cut, fit and fabricate accurately
- Comfortable working with heavy materials and equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Safety-focused, reliable and dependable
- Ability to manage priorities in a busy, fast-paced equipment environment
