A. General Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth by developing and implementing sales strategies, managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets. The role works closely with production, logistics, and finance to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable growth.
B. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve annual sales and profitability targets.
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities with retailers, wholesalers, distributors, food service operators, and other commercial customers.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with key accounts and major retail buyers.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and contract, and successfully close sales opportunities.
- Develop annual business plans, sales forecasts, promotional calendars, and go-to-market strategies for new and existing products.
- Monitor sales performance, market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and adjust sales strategies.
- Analyze sales data and prepare weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for management.
- Manage trade promotions and marketing budgets to maximize return on investment (ROI).
- Collaborate with marketing, production, supply chain, logistics, and product development teams to ensure successful product launches, inventory availability, and on-time customer deliveries.
- Ensure effective execution of merchandising programs, promotional campaigns, and in-store displays where applicable.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and service.
- Lead, coach, and evaluate the performance of sales representatives, regional sales personnel, brokers, or distributor networks, as applicable.
- Establish sales objectives, monitor individual and team performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate customer records, pricing information, contracts, and sales activities using the company's CRM or sales management systems.
- Represent the company at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events to promote products and develop new business opportunities.
- Prepare annual sales budgets and support strategic business planning initiatives.
- Strict adherence to all Company established procedures and policies, including Food Handling, Health and Safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Special projects or other duties as required.
**** Pay varies depending on the experience.
Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
- Sales experience in dairy industry: 4 years (preferred)
