Overall Responsibility

Responsible for the strategic direction, leadership and overall administration of plant operations. Will oversee staffing, production and effectively and efficiently oversee the development and direction of the management team to drive the growth of production, revenue and the quality of goods produced in the facility. Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, vendors, department managers and ensuring the integration of strategic plans within the plant facilities.


Operate the Woodstock facility to meet or exceed all local, Provincial and Federal regulatory requirements; attain the necessary quality environmental designations to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Responsible for refining and implementing health and safety policies.
Submit/refine and achieve annual business plan targets for Woodstock approved by AMTB’S SMT.
Establish operating equipment and processes to deliver quality products to customers, on time, to position Woodstock as a leading quality supplier. Attain and maintain all quality standards, designations and requirements.
Attract, retain and motivate a leadership team and skilled workforce to support long term stability and growth of AMTB Woodstock.
Attain leadership position in provision of value-driven solutions to business unit.
Support the growth of AMTB: Effective participation of the SMT. Technology and process leadership, Commercial and Customer interaction and Quoting activity.
Fulfill all Health and Safety responsibilities as identified in the ArcelorMittal Occupational Health and Safety Program.
Ensure QMS conforms to the requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Required

Travel requirement Regular ( +/- 30%)
Reporting to Regional Manager
Number of direct reports 5-10 direct reports
Education - level Bachelor
Education - discipline Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) with training in engineering, technical operations
Experience Minimum 10 years
Language English (Primary)
English Advanced

Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office
Personal Skills Strong communication skills (oral, written, and presentation), with the ability to communicate effectively both with employees, customers and external industry groups.
Strong leadership skills, results oriented.

Strong technical background and business aptitude.
Thorough knowledge of marketplace, customers and competitors in Automotive and Canadian/USA target markets.
