Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various cutting equipment, including CNC saws and other machining tools, to produce precise components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge to ensure high-quality output and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Operate saw machines and related equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and other machining tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine cutting specifications.
- Program and set up CNC machines using Fanuc controls and other programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and measuring devices to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality control.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues related to CNC programming or mechanical failures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
- Assist with assembly, packaging, or warehouse tasks as needed to support production flow.
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of forklifts when necessary.
Skills
- Proficiency with Fanuc CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAD software such as SolidWorks, and blueprint reading.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes, machining techniques, welding, and assembly.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, and basic math for precise measurements.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of press brake operations, CNC programming, welding techniques, and packaging processes is a plus.
