Role Description: This is a part-time, with the potential for full-time, remote contractor role for a Behavioural Reactivation Clinician/Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments of clients’ functional, vocational, and psychosocial needs, and developing individualized behavioural activation and vocational rehabilitation plans. The clinician/consultant will provide one-to-one virtual sessions, deliver structured interventions to support return to work and daily functioning, and monitor progress using measurable outcomes. The role includes collaborating with employers, insurers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to coordinate accommodations and sustainable return-to-work strategies. Day-to-day tasks also include maintaining accurate clinical and case management documentation, participating in case conferences, and contributing to program development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Clinical skills in behavioural activation, cognitive-behavioural or related evidence-based interventions, with experience supporting clients experiencing functional, mental health, or work-related challenges.
- Vocational rehabilitation expertise, including assessment, return-to-work planning, job coaching, and coordination of workplace accommodations or gradual return-to-work programs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, employers, insurers, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams in a virtual environment.
- Proficiency with virtual care platforms, secure documentation systems, and basic digital tools to deliver services and manage caseloads remotely.
- Relevant post-secondary education in rehabilitation, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, or a related field; professional registration or certification is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple cases, use outcome measures, and apply a client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approach.
- Experience in disability case management, early intervention, return-to-work services, or employer health and wellness programs is considered an advantage.
Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
