Summary
The Site Supervisor – Large Loss is responsible for leading and overseeing day-to-day on-site operations for complex, high-value restoration, remediation, and mitigation projects. This role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards, client expectations, and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations.
This position plays a key role in coordinating large-scale and catastrophic losses. Out-of-town travel is required to support large-loss events and emergency response situations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily restoration, mitigation, and reconstruction activities on large-loss job sites.
- Schedule, direct, and oversee the work of restoration technicians, trades, and sub-trades across multiple scopes of work.
- Provide on-site training, guidance, and performance feedback to restoration technicians and crew members.
- Coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors to ensure project timelines and milestones are met.
- Ensure all personnel and subcontractors comply with OH&S Codes and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times, particularly on active large-loss environments.
- Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding job progress, challenges, and resource requirements.
- Complete accurate and detailed daily reports, including photos, moisture logs, and site documentation, and review all paperwork for accuracy prior to submission.
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license required
- 5+ years of experience in restoration, construction, or mitigation, with experience on large or complex losses
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience coordinating multiple crews and trades
- Excellent written, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of large-loss restoration processes, building systems, materials, and industry standards
- Strong understanding of OH&S Codes and safe work practices
- IICRC certification(s) in Water Restoration, Fire and Smoke Restoration, or Applied Microbial Remediation considered an asset.
