Cedargreen Landscape Contractors Ltd. is a well-established landscape construction company with over 30 years of experience serving Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Float Driver / Machine Operator to join our growing team.
This role involves transporting and operating heavy equipment, supporting job site activities, and ensuring safe, efficient delivery of materials and machinery. Work is primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays based on project needs.

Responsibilities
AZ Drivers / Machine Operators at Cedargreen will be responsible for:
- Loading, securing, transporting, and unloading heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, bobcats, etc.)
- Operating various equipment safely and efficiently on job sites
- Transporting materials and machinery to and from project locations
- Operating company vehicles, including dump trucks and water trucks
- Performing daily vehicle inspections and maintaining accurate logbooks
- Ensuring proper load securement in compliance with safety regulations
- Assisting with general labour and job site duties as required
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of company vehicles and equipment
- Reporting delays, mechanical issues, or safety concerns promptly
- Following all road safety laws and company safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid AZ driver’s licence with clean abstract
- Minimum 6 years of AZ driving experience
- Experience hauling heavy equipment (float experience preferred)
- Machine operator certification or experience considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of GTA routes and job site navigation
Skills & Requirements
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators and skid steers
- Strong understanding of load securement and vehicle safety practices
- Highly safety-conscious with attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work extended hours when required
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills (must read, write, and speak English fluently)
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively
Additional Information
- Typical work week ranges from 45–50 hours, weather dependent
- Occasional weekend work may be required
- Candidates may be required to assist with additional duties as assigned
