We are looking for an experienced and dependable HVAC service technician. Our ideal candidate has at least 2-5 years of service experience dealing with HVAC products. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills are key, paired with excellent communication and customer facing abilities. This position reports directly to the Service Manager.
Duties of HVAC Service Technician:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair our product set, including Packaged Terminal Air Conditioning units (PTACS), and thermostat/control products
- Work closely with our installation team to help Install and replace HVAC products and components as needed
- Assist our customers over the phone to help troubleshoot and solve ptac and thermostat issues
- Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
- Communicate clearly and timely with our Service Coordinator
- Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining high quality standards and offering top notch customer care
Skills Required:
- A minimum of 2-5 years of HVAC service experience is preferred
- Expert troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- In-depth knowledge of design, installation and operation of HVAC systems
- Ability to install, test, and program HVAC units and air conditioning components
- Well versed in reading schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Experienced in using leak testing devices to recover and recharge systems with refrigerant
- Provide basic operation and maintenance training to our customers
- Generate professional documentation to record HVAC equipment and site conditions
- Capable of working independently to set priorities and meet deadlines, while following direction from our service manager and service coordinator
- Must be a team player who is able to communicate effectively with customers, management and co-workers
- An ODP License (Refrigeration) is required
- A valid, clean driver’s license is required
- Responsible for maintaining the company service vehicle
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This role involves physical demands such as lifting (up to 130lbs), bending, climbing, and continuous standing
- Must be able to tolerate extremes in temperature and dust, as can be found in new construction buildings
- The service technician may at times be required to travel within Canada (overnight and out of town Hotel stays)

Salary: $60,000 -$75,000 annually
