Job Summary
Ande Ka Funda is looking for a motivated and energetic Assistant Manager to help oversee daily restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will support the Restaurant Manager in ensuring excellent customer service, staff supervision, food quality, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. This role is perfect for someone with leadership skills who thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations.
- Supervise and support front-of-house and kitchen staff.
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Open and close the restaurant according to company procedures.
- Monitor staff attendance, scheduling, and performance.
- Train new employees and maintain service standards.
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and health & safety compliance.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
- Assist with cash handling, POS operations, and daily sales reporting.
- Support marketing promotions, special events, and catering operations.
- Help achieve sales, labour, and food cost targets.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems and cash handling.
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset.
