Our manufacturing client in the GTA is seeking a driven and hands-on Assistant Controller to join their team. This opportunity is
ideal for a Senior Accountant ready to take the next step into a broader leadership role,
or for a small-company Controller with 1–2 years of leadership experience looking to join a growing organization where they can make a meaningful impact.
The role offers strong exposure to operational accounting, process improvement, ERP implementation, and close collaboration with senior leadership during an exciting period of growth and transition.
This position is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys being involved in both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations, and is looking for a role with strong visibility and growth potential. You will play a key role in financial reporting, cost accounting initiatives, process development, and supporting the implementation of a new Epicor ERP system.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with analytical tasks and provide daily, weekly, and monthly financial data to the parent company.
- Collaborate with the parent company and strategic team to prepare for the transition to a new Epicor ERP system, ensuring data accuracy.
- Manage a variety of accounting tasks, including inputting invoices, completing sales orders, invoicing customers, and performing collection calls.
- Contribute to the development of new cost accounting processes from scratch.
- Ensure the provision of clean and accurate data for key performance indicators (KPIs) and data requests from the investment group.
Qualifications:
- 3 -8 years of experience and ideally a new CPA or someone enrolled in the program
- Someone looking to make the move into a controller role OR someone with 1-2 years at the controller level
- Open to those coming from public accounting with manufacturing clients OR those in a comparable manufacturing-like environment
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and perform all tasks
- Ability to work five days a week on-site
