As a valued member of our Regional Operations Team at our Carbonear location, you will be responsible for designing and managing overhead and underground line construction, providing technical leadership to construction crews and contractors, and interacting with customers, councils and other regulatory bodies. You will also be responsible for preparing estimates and material lists for job preparation, preparing engineering reports to identify, evaluate, and make recommendations for system upgrades to improve the operability of the power system, and assisting with the design and execution of other engineering projects as required.
Your qualifications include a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology. Proficiency with computer-based programs such as Microsoft Office and AutoCAD would be an asset. You have excellent planning and organizational skills. You must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle driver’s license. There is a residency requirement for this position, whereby your primary residence must be within 40km of the Carbonear office.
