Role Overview…
We are seeking a passionate and collaborative Outdoor Educator to work across both Camp Ki-Wa-Y and Crow Shield Lodge, building and delivering engaging and meaningful programming for campers and participants. This unique role focuses on nature and land-based learning, fostering a deeper connection to the natural world and supporting an understanding of Indigenous perspectives.
What you will do…

Deliver engaging, hands-on outdoor education experiences for participants of all ages

Foster curiosity, environmental stewardship, and respect for nature through creative and interactive programming

Incorporate Indigenous teachings and land-based practices in a respectful and authentic way, working alongside Elders and Knowledge Keepers where appropriate

Collaborate with Camp and Crow Shield Lodge teams to design and deliver programming that aligns with organizational values and participant needs

Support a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants and staff

Adapt programming to meet diverse learning styles, abilities, and group dynamics

- A passion for outdoor education, nature-based learning, and working with children and youth

An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, Indigenous perspectives and land-based practices

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork

Experience facilitating programs in outdoor or camp settings is an asset

Canada Summer Jobs Eligibility…
This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program. Applicants must:

Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;

Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;

This role requires regular travel across the region, which may not always be easily accessible through public transit. The employee must be able to arrange their own transportation to these sites. A valid G driver’s license and full-time vehicle access are strongly recommended.
