The Revolving Credit Technology team is looking for a strong Business Analysis Specialist with Credit Card & Unsecured Lending (CCUL) domain knowledge and experience, who is comfortable working with both technical and business staff in ensuring systems are designed and maintained per business requirements, where customer experience is a primary consideration.
You will be collaborating with business to understand and capture business requirements and collaborate with technology teams (including Business Analysts from other domain areas) to ensure the highest quality technology solution is delivered in accordance with business needs. The Business Analysis Specialist works to become an application and business expert with strong leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to work well with others in both the business and technology domains.
Is this role right for you?
Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs of CCUL, by applying their financial and technological knowledge to the design of methodologies, models, and/or systems solutions. This includes conducting research and analysis, accurately and clearly defining user requirements and processes, and liaising with the users, business and other technology teams.
Coordinate and gather estimates for new intakes or change requests on assigned projects and ensure impacted application teams understand the business requirements and develop a solution that meets the business objectives
Manage multiple small projects and/or lead specific sections of large projects to implement solutions to business problems. This may involve planning and scheduling resources, developing detailed project plans, monitoring progress against planned objectives, financial review, and securing consensus and co-operation from users and senior management.
Participate in the systems implementation process by defining business requirements and processes, developing test strategies and test cases, performing testing, defining user procedures and workflows, developing conversion and implementation strategies, verifying conversion, providing user documentation, providing user training, and providing post-implementation support.
Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of the Division's business strategies and policies, risk management practices and methodologies, product offerings, financial markets, financial instruments, regulatory requirements, Back Office processes, and rapidly changing technology to be able to provide effective business solutions and services to the end user business lines.
Interact with business clients to help resolve and explain system questions and issues.
Act as coach and mentor to less experienced and/or new team members (e.g. sharing application and domain knowledge, provide guidance on day-to-day activities).
Partner with, welcome input and provide feedback to team members in order to build in a continuous improvement mindset for the individual and for the team
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
You have advanced knowledge of end to end CCUL business, processes and systems, including TSYS, integration applications, the end-to-end workflows from Front-end channels to Back Offices, and current and anticipated regulatory requirements within CCUL.
You posses a very good understanding of current IT practices, systems development techniques, including requirements specification and testing methodologies, real time analytical and formal modelling tools and keep current with rapidly changing technology.
Will be a creative, self-starting, results-oriented, customer-focused and highly motivated individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in order to apply this knowledge to independently resolve complex business problems.
You have proven interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills in order to build consensus and obtain cooperation from both users and senior management. These skills, along with the incumbent’s good time management and organizational skills, will allow the incumbent to effectively manage small projects while planning and scheduling resources within those projects to optimize productivity.
