Job Summary
The Maintenance Person is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventive measures to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and facilities maintenance.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment in the hotel.
- Clean and repair PTAC units in rooms.
- Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Oversee residential painting projects to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Touch up or replace drywall that has been damaged by guests.
- Clean, backwash and test pool.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with staff or clients regarding maintenance concerns.
Skills
- Proficient in electrical/plumbing experience and mechanical knowledge relevant to facility maintenance are an asset.
- Strong understanding of schematics for troubleshooting various systems.
- Experience in residential painting techniques and standards.
- Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Self driven to repair issues but also tackle preventative maintenance.
