Service Technician
Location: This position will cover london area. Occasional travelling might be needed to other provinces. It is a field service but in cases where work level are low, work in the shop or the yard will be assigned
Position Summary:
As a Heavy Equipment Service Technician you will be working within our earthmoving and other products division to repair, troubleshoot, overhaul and maintain equipment in the construction sector. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the safe and effective repair and maintenance of machinery and components on heavy equipment to high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
The London area will be primary working location with regular travel required. Occasional travel to aid in other provinces might be required.Options and flexibility exist for Technician to be dispatched from home depending on their primary location
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, inspect and diagnose SANY machinery and components including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, engines, gearbox/drive train, etc. to resolve moderate to complex problems
Liaise with Service Admin / Supervisor to discuss and explain issues with equipment and the repairs required
Perform new and used machinery preparation, scheduled maintenance, repair or overhaul usually requiring component replacement, commissioning and adjustment of mechanical/hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic equipment, including warranty upgrades, in shop and in the field
Recondition and repair equipment components and systems as assigned
Perform pre-delivery inspections of equipment and new & used equipment preparation when Field service work is low
Perform servicing on SANY machinery as directed, including fluid checks, and sample pulling, oil and filter checks, changing lubricants, replacing filters, greasing machine lube points etc.
Ensure components, material and/or equipment is inspected, is corrected to specifications and ensure timely delivery programs are achieved
Ensure all final verifications specified in work instructions, scope of work, verbal communication and specifications are carried out and complete
Accurate and timely submission of reports and technical document including service reports
Operate and maintain tools, equipment and work areas in accordance with company policy
Competencies
Recognized Heavy Equipment Technician license / Mechanic designation
Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components
Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, component exchange, repair and warranty related activities
Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
Able to effectively communicate detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner
Self-motivated with the ability to work alone, unsupervised for extended periods of time
Fully proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite
Pre-employment medical and physical required
Ontario drivers license with a clean drivers abstract required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.51-$39.39 per hour
