Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist/Assistant to join our dental practice. This role involves managing front desk operations, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting clinical staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental or medical office environments, proficiency with electronic medical records, and strong administrative skills. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check-in/check-out procedures
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix or similar software
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
- Assist with patient intake forms and ensure all necessary documentation is completed
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist with clinical support as needed
- Manage correspondence, including emails and appointment reminders
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and ensure compliance with health safety protocols
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management
Requirements
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting preferred
- Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix; familiarity with Epic is a plus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently and professionally
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Office experience demonstrating administrative competence in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of front desk operations within a dental or healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
