Red Deer Native Friendship Society (RDNFS) is an Indigenous community organization dedicated to providing culturally based supports and services to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals. Our mission is to empower community members to lead productive lives while fostering an environment that embraces cultural diversity and nurtures Indigenous identity development.
We are hiring two summer helpers for our Social Enterprise. You will be working with the Indigenous Marketplace Coordinator to;
- market, organize, and work at events and summer sale opportunities
- prepare the social enterprise for Orange Shirt Day
- take and fill orders for groups and organizations
- develop advertising posts and videos for products and the social enterprise in general.
Requirements
- Experience in retail is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
- Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and email
- Drivers License and reliable vehicle
- Criminal Record Check
Applicants must be between 16 and 30 years old.
