We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Associate II, at our Winnipeg, Manitoba location. The primary role of the Warehouse Associate II is to coordinate the effective and accurate movement of all inventories, such as shipping and receiving of finished goods and raw materials within the warehouse, receiving and staging areas. This position supports the coordination of warehouse staffing needs as required. The secondary role of this position is to assist the Production Supervisor in identifying and improving operational effectiveness and efficiency within the warehouse operation.
The Warehouse Associate II acts in partnership with the Warehouse team and Production Supervisor as such, participates in team efforts to achieve assigned business unit goals; works closely with the production team, customer service, supply chain and quality assurance to ensure all warehouse/inventory activities are completed on time and according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and regulatory requirements. When required, may step in to direct when the Warehouse Supervisor is not available.
This position will work on an 8-hour shift (9am – 5:30 pm) schedule from Sunday to Thursday to support a 24/7/365 operation.
The successful candidate will be required in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Responsibilities:
Inventory
-
Coordinate receipt of all packaging, ingredients, and new materials into the building.

Responsible for all tasks associated with incoming and outgoing of shipments; includes shipment inspections, creation of pick lists, order verification, loading and unloading of orders.

Approve finished goods into inventory and warehouse storage.
Documentation
-
Ensure that all material and ingredients are entered into the Warehouse Management System immediately upon receipt.
Work Scheduling
-
As necessary, performs daily warehouse tasks in order to meet daily targets and housekeeping requirements.
Quality & Customer Focus
-
Ensures product quality by practicing and enforcing Quality Assurance, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Food Safety, and ISO requirements in all aspects of warehouse operations.

Develop SOPs and Standard Work documentation processes and tasks for warehouse operations, train to SOPs, and ensure employee adherence to SOPs when performing job responsibilities and tasks.
Leadership

Coordinates with Warehouse Supervisor and Production Managers to achieve daily deliverables by working with the warehouse team to achieve daily, weekly and monthly goals.

Contributes to ensuring a respectful, safe, and healthy work environment exists within the team.

Assists in the development of positive cross functional/department relationships.
Safety & Environment

Foster safe work practices by enforcing standard safety procedures and as required develop and implement practical recommendations for safety practices.

Verify that no unsafe practices develop in the warehouse operations, perform daily mobile equipment inspections, and enforce all the policies and procedures related to employee safety in the work environment.

Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of processes and suggest changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:
-
3 years of warehouse experience, preferably within the food industry, with an emphasis on inventory control.

Ability to obtain a forklift license.

High attention to detail and numerical ability.

Highly organized with excellent time management/priority setting skills and knows how to make the right decisions.

Experience in a culturally diverse work environment.

Working proficiency with MS Office applications and internet applications. Experience with ERP/ Warehouse Management System preferred.
