Sunflower Developmental Services is looking for a partnership with a dedicated individual that are register with OAP to oversee our Life & Social Skills program for individuals with special needs.
Must be able to work with all ages, willing to learn, motivated and able to support, and enhance growth & development for individuals with special needs and for the organization.
Therapist Role:
Meet with each individual client, to develop individualized programming that is structured and meets the needs/goals of the individual.
Working with clients of all ages from the age of four years old.
Working with individuals that have a diagnosis of ASD or other complexities/ behavioural needs.
Develop structured activities for individuals with ASD and/ or other behavioural needs to accomplish goals.
Overseeing the initial operation of our program to provide training, feedback, support to families, and staff working with individuals.
Developing, teaching, role modelling and implementation of programming, structured to aide in the enhancement of skills or improve existing goals of the individuals we work with.
Providing Sunflower Developmental Services with an outline and/ or template of behaviour modification, tools, techniques, and or programs to implement with clients.
Providing the organization with reports / assessments as requested for individuals you are working with.
Oversee and assist staff, with development and implementation of life and social skills programming and or behavioral needs for our clients.
Specific Requirements
MUST BE REGISTERED WITH OAP AND HAVE A CLINICIAN #
Worked with individuals with BEHAVIOURAL OR SPEECH RELATED needs
Valid V.S.S. Check, C.P.R. & First Aid Certification, C.P.I. Or equivalent
Ability to respond to various job requirements
Excellent communication, written & organization skills
Preferred Skills
Organized, motivated, self- starter, enthusiastic, able to work with minimal supervision
Willing to travel
Certifications
Speech- Language Pathologist
Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA)
Board Certified Behavior Analysis - Doctoral (BCBA-D)
