At Wellness Pharmacy, we are seeking a dedicated IV Nurse to join our Wellspring healthcare team on a permanent, part-time/ casual basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care through intravenous treatments. As a Wellspring IV Nurse, you will be responsible for administering IV therapies, monitoring patient responses, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining accurate records. Your expertise and compassion will contribute to the well-being of our clients.

Responsibilities:
· Administer intravenous therapies to patients following established protocols
· Monitor and assess patients' responses to IV treatments, addressing any adverse reactions promptly
· Thoroughly review patients' medical histories and identify potential risks or contraindications for IV therapy
· Ensure proper insertion and maintenance of IV lines, demonstrating proficiency and minimizing discomfort for patients
· Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation of all IV treatments, patient information, and responses
· Provide additional services, such as TB Skin tests, phlebotomy services, remain mobile between Wellspring Infusion Clinics within the Lower Mainland. Must be able to work at various locations.
· Adhere to all regulatory standards, infection control measures, and healthcare protocols
· Collaborate seamlessly with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
· Educate patients and their families about IV therapy, potential side effects, and post-treatment care
· Uphold a clean, organized, and well-equipped work environment for safe and efficient IV administration
· Maintain inventory records and advise when supplies are to be re-ordered
· Maintain an efficient inventory of emergency medications and keep track of expiries. Meds to be re-ordered as needed.
· May be required to develop and maintain protocols
· Participate in mandatory training and pursue continuous education opportunities to stay updated in the field
Qualifications:
· Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
· Proven experience in administering intravenous therapies; certification in IV therapy is a plus
· Strong understanding of infection prevention and control practices
· Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction and collaboration with the team
· Ability to work autonomously and harmoniously within a healthcare setting
· Outstanding organizational abilities and effective time management skills
· Keen attention to detail, ensuring accurate and comprehensive record-keeping
· Flexibility to fulfill part-time hours, including potential shifts on evenings and weekends.
· Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation
