We are seeking qualified Certified Utility Arborists (CUA)/Utility Tree Trimmers (UTT) to join Wright Tree Service of Canada (Wright Canada Holdings Ltd.) for various locations within British Columbia as integral members of our crew, gaining hands on training experience in the vegetation management industry. KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

Assign, instruct, and direct tree trimmers, equipment operators and groundworkers.

Trim and/or removes trees by climbing with the aid of a ladder, safety belt, climbing line, powered trimmer lift truck, or work from the ground using saws/pruners.

Removal or trimming of trees and brush encroaching onto utility or transportation rights of ways.

Assume responsibility for the inspection and proper working conditions of tools, trucks, and other work equipment.

Ensure on-the-job safety practices are followed by all crew members.

Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Certified Utility Arborist (CUA or UA) or Utility Tree Trimmer (UTT), or ability to challenge exam.

Basic knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits and correct arboriculture techniques for trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing.

Ability to lift, move and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis.

Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions.

Valid drivers’ license.

Must adhere to the Company’s Drug and Alcohol policy.
