Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in our furniture manufacturing facility. You will ensure maximum uptime and safety for CNC routing machinery, wood processing tools, and general plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on CNC routers, panel saws, edgebanders, and pneumatic tools.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults during active production runs.
- Diagnose machine breakdowns quickly to minimize plant downtime.
- Replace worn parts, calibrate alignment, lubricate moving components, and inspect belts, bearings, and motors.
- Maintain clean, organized tool areas and track spare parts inventory.
- Enforce workplace safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper equipment guarding..
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1–3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (woodworking or furniture production preferred).
- Working knowledge of CNC machine mechanics, pneumatics, and standard shop equipment.
- Comfortable reading mechanical diagrams, manuals, and basic electrical schematics.
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic measurement instruments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and kneel throughout the shift.
