Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP is currently seeking a marketing and business development advisor for a 12-month contract, with the potential of a permanent role. This dynamic position will report to the marketing and business development director and is part of a high-performing Canadian clients and markets team.
The marketing and business development advisor executes industry-leading marketing and business development projects and initiatives in order to advance the overall goal of the firm to grow the firm's top-line revenue. In this role, you will work collaboratively with colleagues from theclient & industry programs, content operations, corporate communications, proposals, and the diversity & inclusion and social impact teams, and work on local, national and global projects. The successful candidate will bring their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to this role and be willing to be flexible and jump in on projects as needed. No two days will ever be the same!
Lead and project manage the development and deployment of integrated marketing campaigns, initiatives and sponsorships (local and national)
Project manage gold standard virtual and in-person events including webinars and other substantive programming
Employ established campaign development and management tools andensure process adherence and KPI reporting
Support the strategic planning process led by the marketing and business development manager
Lead practice-specific directory submissions and actively engage in those centrally managed, such as Chambers and Legal 500
Assist in writing, editing and proofreading content and collateral (print and online) ensuring compliance with communication policies, procedures and brand standards
Collaborate with team members across the firm to provide exceptional client service
Skills and qualifications
University diploma and/or post-secondary studies in business administration and/or communications
Possess 5 years of relevant experience in a professional services environment
Exhibit strong knowledge of, and interest in, the professional services industry and business-to- business marketing
Excellent project management skills, strong administrative and organizational skills
Willingness to learn and a positive attitude
Digitally savvy and conversant with digital marketing, news media and social media strategies and tactics
Ability to manage multiple, disparate projects through to completion, interacting with a wide range of stakeholders
Strong oral and written communication skills
A self-starter who is able to work with little day-to-day supervision
Ability to build strong working relationships with high-level internal clients and with colleagues of all levels in different locations
Experience working with matrix organizations an asset
Business-to-business marketing experience is required
Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office
Bilingualism (French and English) would be considered a strong asset
