We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Class 3 Truck Driver with skid steer experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating tandem truck and other skid steer equipment to assist in various construction and landscaping projects. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of equipment operation, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Duties
- Operate skid steer loaders and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently on job sites.
- Perform routine DVIR inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Load, unload, and transport materials as needed for various projects.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks in a timely manner while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly.
- Assist in the training of new operators as needed, sharing best practices for equipment use and safety.
Experience
- 5 years' experience Class 3 with airbrakes and towing
- Must be able to provide a minimum 3 years claims experience letter. *Applications will not be reviewed without this.
- Organization and great communication skills
- Proven experience operating skid steers or similar heavy equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive repair, commercial driving
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Knowledge of the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas
