Plusgrade is searching for a Product Manager to join our growing team. You’ll be at the epicenter of our product strategy, driving the generation, development, and curation of product ideas, and bringing these to market among our growing community of travel partners. The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter with domain expertise, who takes ownership, moves fast and holds themselves accountable for delivering great products and user experiences.
Define the product strategy and vision. Develop and deliver a roadmap that evolves our products. Champion each advance from inception through concept validation, define what good looks like, and ensure the delivery of the right product to market.
Propose product innovations, as well as opportunities for enhancements to existing products. Specify the requirements related to Plusgrade’s passenger facing products, and partner facing program management tools. Make strong product and prioritisation recommendations . Define the go-to-market strategy.
Work with our commercial teams and partners to solve product needs, optimize product usage and bring new programs to market. Be an ambassador for and trusted advisor of our product capabilities. Support our Sales teams with clear product definition and value proposition.
Drive relentlessly towards our product goals. Use creative and innovative problem-solving skills to unblock challenges. Accept responsibility for the success of the product. Manage your product’s P&L. Be firm on the vision.
Analyse and understand market trends, and customer needs. Conduct research to understand customer needs and current market solutions . Collaborate with our travel industry partners and “Partner Success” managers to tap into our product opportunities - via a combination of calls, online meetings, workshops and onsite visits.
Prepare crisp product related documents that are easily understood by technical and non-technical folks, including business requirements, process flows, and product overviews. Build and present compelling business cases detailing new product opportunities.
Understand our key performance metrics and ensure the right focus on error reduction, delivery efficiency and revenue growth. Proactively explore data to identify opportunities. Measure success.
Qualifications & Experience:
3+ years experience in a similar product role, plus a degree in a relevant field
Prior Product Management experience specific to the travel, airline or hospitality industry.
Financial acumen and experience managing P&L.
Experience launching new products and defining go to market strategy.
Very strong communication skills in English - written, verbal and a knack for building relationships
Experience writing business requirements, building roadmaps and prioritising efforts based on multiple inputs
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
Experience preparing easy to read and visually pleasing documentation, presentations and product overviews
Data driven, familiarity with data visualization tools and the structures behind them
Experience working with clients
Must be able to work with limited supervision and be accountable for actions and decisions and show proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
Experience with email marketing, lead generation, mobile apps, revenue management and/ or API integrations valuable.
Knowledge or familiarity with Excel, SQL, HTML, JIRA and/or Splunk
A passion for the airline or travel industry is a plus!
