We are a growing oilfield trucking company seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Welder to join our maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain hands-on experience working on a diverse fleet of trucks, trailers, and oilfield equipment while advancing their welding career.
Duties
- Perform welding, fabrication, and repair work on trucks, trailers, and oilfield equipment under the supervision of experienced welders.
- Assist with structural repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance projects.
- Operate welding and cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret basic drawings, sketches, and work instructions.
- Prepare materials for welding, including measuring, cutting, grinding, and fitting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist mechanics and maintenance personnel as required.
Qualifications
- Registered Apprentice Welder (any year apprentice considered).
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
- Experience with MIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding is considered an asset.
- Experience working on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or oilfield equipment is an asset but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
