Parts Advisor — Sherwood Powersports & Marine

About the Role
Sherwood Powersports & Marine is looking for a knowledgeable, customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our team. As the front line of our parts department, you'll help customers and internal departments get the right parts and accessories the first time — for everything from fishing and pontoon boats to motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, outboards, and e-bikes. If you know the powersports and marine world and take pride in getting details right, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist walk-in, phone, and email customers in identifying and sourcing the correct parts, accessories, and apparel for their units
- Look up parts using OEM catalogues, VIN/model/serial decoding, and our DMS (PBS Systems)
- Support the service department by pulling and staging parts for repair orders and coordinating on backorders and special requests
- Process parts sales, quotes, special orders, and returns accurately at the counter
- Manage incoming shipments: receive, verify, tag, stock, and organize inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory counts, assist with cycle counts, and flag discrepancies
- Monitor stock levels and communicate reorder needs to the Parts Manager
- Merchandise the parts and accessories showroom to drive add-on sales
- Build product knowledge across our OEM lines and aftermarket brands
- Deliver a professional, helpful customer experience that reflects our dealership's standards
Qualifications
Required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable with computers, DMS/inventory software, and online parts catalogues
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple customers and priorities
- Able to lift and move parts and inventory (up to ~50 lbs) and work on your feet
Preferred
- Previous parts, powersports, marine, automotive, or dealership experience
- Familiarity with PBS Systems or a similar DMS
- Working knowledge of boats, motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, and/or outboards
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read parts diagrams and schematics

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
