We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Cabinet Vision Custom Cabinetry Drafter to join our design team. This role involves creating precise and innovative cabinetry designs using Cabinet Vision, supporting our commitment to high-quality custom cabinetry solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong drafting skills, a solid understanding of construction and schematics, and experience with various CAD tools. Core Software & Drafting Skills (Cabinet Vision–Focused)
- Proficient with Cabinet Vision for custom cabinetry (not catalog‑based drafting)
- Comfortable adjusting construction settings, materials, hardware, and assembly parameters within Cabinet Vision
- Capable of producing clean, accurate shop drawings in Cabinet Vision under guidance
- Able to interpret architectural drawings, elevations, and interior design plans and translate them into Cabinet Vision models
- Understands how to incorporate appliance specifications into accurate cabinet designs
- Reads and applies site measurements and field conditions to drafting
- Familiar with clearances, reveals, fillers, and functional design requirements
- Identifies and flags design conflicts, inconsistencies, or missing information
- Basic understanding of cut sheets, machining, and CNC output (training provided)
- Applies standard hardware (hinges, slides, pulls) correctly within Cabinet Vision drawings
Industry Experience
- 1–3 years in cabinet drafting, millwork drafting, or a related field
- Experience with custom cabinetry, not catalog ordering or stock cabinet systems
- Solid understanding of cabinet construction methods, not just software navigation
- Able to produce drawings that support manufacturing and installation requirements
- Role requires interpreting design intent, not template‑based drafting
- Knowledge of joinery, materials, hardware, and build sequence
Personal Attributes
- Detail‑oriented with strong focus on accuracy and buildability
- Able to work independently on straightforward tasks and collaborate on complex projects
- Comfortable taking direction from designers, senior drafters, project managers, and shop leads
- Strong willingness to learn advanced Cabinet Vision features and grow within the role
- Thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven production environment
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
